You have a new blog, how do you make it stand out from the crowd? How do you keep it from losing ground with all of the other terrific blogs out there to get and keep your interest?
These ideas should help:
- If you blog often; at least twice a week or more, folks will see that you’re interested in sharing what you know. If you can write one or two blogs a day you’re really showing people something.
- If you also have a website where you can connect with your readers through KISS Insights, a front page tool that initiates comments from readers and allows you to respond, your readers will come back just so they can ask you questions.
- If your blogs are focused, sharp, and to the point with a bit of humor, folks will want to return to read them.
- If you use photos and video; anything colorful that contributes to your content, you’ll have interest.
- If you have few spelling errors and your language is clear, readers won’t be confused at your content and will want to know more.
- If you connect with other bloggers; have them post on your site and you on theirs, the word will really get out about what you do.
- If the blog looks aesthetically professional and shows you in the best possible light, others will able to view it without squinting their eyes or wishing for a doughnut.
- If you never give up. If you go at it for at least two years before you see any results, know that you’re probably a blogger for life.
Go for it! The best blogs out there hang on for the long-haul.
